Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco, the Board of Commissioners and the Department of Human Services have announced that the 19th Annual Project Homeless Connect (PHC) will be held on Wednesday, January 29th, 2025.
The Bergen County Department of Parks and Recreation will be hosting two community meetings this week to discuss the upcoming installation of a completely inclusive playground at Pascack Brook County Park in the Borough of Westwood, and to update the public on the County’s effort to preserve remaining farmland.
“I am deeply disappointed that the Court has allowed the flawed congestion pricing plan to move forward, disregarding the severe environmental, public safety, and economic impacts it will impose on Bergen County residents”.

County Executive Jim Tedesco, the County Board of Commissioners, and the County Parks Department are excited to announce the official opening of Bergen County’s Winter Wonderland, presented by Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, on Friday, November 29 at 12:00 PM.
On Monday, November 18th the Bergen County Office of Food Security, in partnership with the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, distributed 90,000lbs of fresh produce to 40 food pantries from across Bergen County to support their Thanksgiving food distributions. The participating pantries received boxes of mixed produce than included potatoes, yams, lettuces, onions, apples and other items that help provide healthy side dishes on the Thanksgiving tables of thousands of families in Bergen County this year.

Members of the media are invited to Overpeck County Park on Monday, November 18th at 9:45 a.m. for the County’s Office of Food Security fresh produce distribution in partnership the Community Food Bank of New Jersey. Over 90,000 pounds are expected to be sorted and distributed to 40 food pantries in Bergen County. Produce boxes will include staples such as potatoes, carrots, onions, cabbage, apples and plums, and will be vital supplements to the already depleted food pantries leading up to the holiday.
