Bergen County Department of Public Works

The Departments goal is to provide the highest level of services through the most cost efficient methods to the residents of the County of Bergen.  The Department of Public Works is charged with the design, construction and maintenance of all the County’s buildings, roads, bridges and drainage systems.  The County is comprised of approximately 240 square miles with over 450 miles of roadways and 43 buildings. The Department is made up of seven divisions and one board.
