The Office of the Inspector General
Pursuant to the Bergen County Administrative Code, the Office of the Inspector General is charged with promoting the efficiency, accountability and integrity of Bergen County government. The Office also investigates complaints of fraud, waste, misconduct or abuse in County government, including but not limited to the Executive Branch, Authorities, Agencies, Boards and Nonprofits set forth in the Code. The Office of the Inspector General is a division within the Bergen County Department of Law, headed by the County Counsel.
