Van Saun County Park

Spanning over 130 acres, Van Saun County Park is one of Bergen County’s most utilized parks.  With a multitude of opportunities for passive and active recreation, Van Saun County Park offers something for everyone to enjoy.

Amenities in Van Saun County Park range from ball fields and tennis courts, to picnic areas, to state-of-the-art playgrounds and splash pads, to pony rides, a millennium carousel, a miniature train ride, the Bergen County Zoo, and more!

Activities

ACTIVE RECREACTION

•  ADA accessible Harmony Playground with water sprinkler feature (open seasonally – 10am-4pm daily)
• Tennis Courts
• 2 Athletic fields – baseball, softball (permit required)
• Catch-and-release fishing (NJ State Fishing License Required)

PASSIVE RECREATION

• Over 3 miles of biking or walking paths
• Walden Pond lookout points
• Picnicking – pavilions available, 3 with electricity (permit required)

  • $5 per ride. To ride a pony, child MUST BE over 2 years old, less than 50” tall, AND under 90lbs.
